NES 8-bit It was so bloody unreliable. Games only worked about 33% of the time.

Maybe that's why they switched to optical media (CDs and DVDs). More reliable than cartridges.

They collapsed, were sold to another company, then Infogrames bought it, then Infogrames decided to call themselves Atari.
